Examinations are a significant source of stress for students and their families, but the “Pariksha Pe Charcha” (PPC) initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been instrumental in reshaping this narrative. Set for February 10, 2025, this year’s PPC promises to be an engaging platform where the Prime Minister directly interacts with students, educators, and parents. Each PPC edition showcases innovative strategies to combat exam-related stress, promoting a positive outlook towards education and life.
The upcoming 8th edition of PPC in 2025 has already made history by attracting over 5 crore participants, solidifying its status as a nationwide movement encouraging a collective celebration of learning. This year’s program will feature 36 students from various educational institutions, including State and UT Board Government schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, Eklavya Model Residential School, CBSE, and Navodaya Vidyalaya. The event will comprise seven insightful episodes with distinguished personalities discussing crucial life and learning aspects.
Reflecting on the past editions, the 7th PPC in 2024 witnessed a record-breaking 2.26 crore registrations, demonstrating the initiative’s popularity and relevance. Noteworthy was the inclusion of 100 students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools, underscoring the initiative’s inclusive nature. The event, held in a town-hall format in New Delhi, brought together thousands of participants, fostering a vibrant exchange among students, teachers, parents, and Kala Utsav winners.
In 2023, the 6th edition of PPC saw a significant expansion in participation, with the program broadcasted live on various TV and YouTube channels. The Prime Minister’s interaction with students, teachers, and parents left a lasting impact, inspiring and motivating all stakeholders. Similarly, the 5th edition in 2022 marked a return to physical interactions, engaging nearly a million students, employees, and parents, emphasizing the value of direct engagement in addressing exam-related concerns.
Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 PPC shifted to a virtual format, focusing on resilience and adaptability to equip students with essential life skills during uncertain times. The 2020 edition broadened its reach with an online competition, drawing participants from various countries, emphasizing the importance of embracing challenges for personal growth.
Since its inception in 2018, PPC has been successful in transforming exam stress into positive energy, thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s practical solutions and insights. The initiative’s inclusive nature, coupled with its digital reach and innovative strategies, ensures its continual success in engaging students across India. Each edition of PPC reinforces the message that exams are not the final destination but a stepping stone towards future success.
