Kazakhstan has seen a remarkable surge in international student enrollment, reaching a record high of 31,500 students last year. This increase is attributed to the government’s initiative to globalize education and the growing interest from neighboring countries. The nation aims to further elevate this number to 100,000 by 2028 through the Study in Kazakhstan campaign, designed to attract talent and enhance its international academic standing.

Notably, Asian students, particularly from India and China, have outnumbered those from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries for the first time.
