Next week, Duquesne University is gearing up to welcome a fresh cohort of first-year and new students, as well as their families, for the much-anticipated Orientation 2025. Organized by students, for students, the Orientation program is scheduled to run from Wednesday, August 20, to Sunday, August 24, under the theme “Individually Recognized, Collectively Supported.” Spearheaded by student leaders Chrissy Bober and Mary Paternoster, the director and assistant director of Orientation, respectively, a diverse array of events and activities have been meticulously planned to ensure a holistic and engaging experience for all participants.
The schedule includes significant events such as Move-In Day on Tuesday, August 19, Parent and Family Orientation across various campus locations on Wednesday, August 20, and the Matriculation ceremony at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the same day. Additionally, there will be a Parent and Family Dinner at the Power Center Ballroom from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, culminating in the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, August 24, at 11 a.m. at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
