University Student Assaulted in Dorm by Two Strangers, Leading to Arrests Out of State

The student, whose identity remains protected, reported being confronted by two unknown men who forcibly entered her room, proceeding to commit acts of sexual violence against her.

The assailants have been identified as Dipak Phayal, aged 20, and Sujan Tamang, aged 19, both facing serious charges in connection to the assault. Phayal stands accused of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, aiding and abetting such conduct, and third-degree criminal sexual conduct, while Tamang is charged with aiding and abetting first- and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The victim recounted the traumatic experience of being overpowered by the perpetrators, with one man restraining her while the other subjected her to unwanted advances. Despite her pleas for them to stop, the assault persisted, leaving her in a state of vulnerability and distress.
