The Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University has taken a significant step by signing two MoUs with educational institutions in the USA. These agreements pave the way for students from both Nagpur University and American institutions to engage in joint and dual degree programs.
Acting vice-chancellor of NU, Madhavi Khode Chaware, sealed the MoUs with Robin Matross Helms, vice president of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), and Julie A. White, chancellor and CEO of Pierce College. These collaborations will encompass joint research projects, fundraising, faculty and student exchange programs, international conferences, workshops, and specialized seminars.
The agreements also outline plans for developing joint academic programs and dual degree courses between Nagpur University and the US institutions. Helms shared insights into the humanities department’s activities and expressed enthusiasm for advancements in India, while Dr. White shed light on Pierce College’s academic initiatives and programs.
During the exchange, Khode Chaware highlighted her endeavors to raise social awareness in the country, emphasizing how the university instills teachings of patriotism and social unity inspired by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj in its students. The American delegation, in turn, visited various academic departments at NU.
