Jiangnan University recently hosted the inaugural Silk Road International Student Forum, a significant event that took place at the School of Business. The forum, themed “Silk Road Connections, Wisdom Converges in Jiangnan,” aimed to enhance educational cooperation and industry-education integration. It featured various sessions, including international student keynote sharing, internship base signing, a donation to a student development fund, and economic-cultural dialogue.
The event, jointly organized by the university, Wuxi National Hi-tech District Talent Group Co., Ltd., and the Wuxi E-commerce Association, brought together representatives from different industries like manufacturing, services, IT, and cross-border e-commerce to engage in discussions with Silk Road international students. Topics ranged from Chinese companies expanding globally to international talent policies and market development.
During the forum, agreements were signed for the establishment of the “Silk Road Project Teaching and Internship Base” between the university and six companies. Additionally, Zhonglianjin Group Wuxi Stainless Steel E-Commerce Center Co., Ltd. donated RMB 50,000 to create the “Zhonglianjin–Jiangnan University Silk Road International Student Development Fund,” aimed at supporting extracurricular and development activities for international students.
Jiangnan University has been running the “Silk Road MBA: High-Level Talent Joint Training Program” for five years, benefiting MBA students from Belt and Road countries like Afghanistan, Egypt, Yemen, Pakistan, and Vietnam. This program underscores the university’s commitment to fostering international educational cooperation and talent development.
The Silk Road International Student Forum serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, cultural dialogue, and industry collaboration among students and professionals from diverse backgrounds. It highlights the university’s efforts to promote global perspectives and enhance cross-cultural understanding through educational initiatives.
