Bondi Attack: Fiance of Victim Dawn Singleton Responds to Tragedy

Dawn Singleton, one of the victims of the horrific stabbing attack at Westfield Bondi Junction, has been remembered by loved ones, including her heartbroken fiance, Ashley Wildey.

Wildey, a police officer with the NSW Police Force, was among the first responders called to the scene on Saturday afternoon. The tragic twist of fate placed him at the center of the unfolding crisis, unaware that his fiancee was one of the victims.

“He is devastated,” a friend close to Wildey confided in The Daily Telegraph. Thankfully, NSW Police is providing him with support during this incredibly difficult time.

The young couple, childhood sweethearts who reconnected recently, were planning their wedding. Ms. Singleton, the daughter of John Singleton and Julie Martin, had just purchased makeup at Chanel when the attack occurred.

“She’d only been there for 15 minutes, looking at makeup for her wedding,” shared a devastated friend.

Tributes poured in for Ms. Singleton, described as “down to earth, humble, sweet, and hardworking” by her longtime friend Emmi Shannon. Kambala School, Ms. Singleton’s alma mater, also expressed their condolences, remembering her as a valued member of their community.

Ms. Singleton’s former employer, White Fox, released a statement mourning the loss of a “sweet, kind-hearted person” who felt like family.

As the community grapples with this tragedy, Dawn Singleton is remembered for her kindness and her bright future that was cut tragically short.
